How do I create a community post?

Click on the POST tab under ADD NEW>> at the top of the Community sidebar (at right). This will take you to a new page.

Enter a title - make your title catchy and enticing it will be used as a one line notification sent to all of the community.

Tag your content by selecting the approporiate category - important for enabling searches

Write your post.

If you want to copy and paste content from another document, Click on the "word" icon in the tool bar (top right) and paste content in the popup window. Press "insert" and your copy will be transfered to the post - this is important to ensure that formatting of  text is consistant

To publish your post, press save at the bottom of the page.

How do I create a community event?

Click on the EVENT tab under ADD NEW>> at the top of the Community sidebar (at right). This will take you to a new page.

Enter a subject - This should describe the event as best as possible as it will be used as a one line notification sent to all of the community.

Enter where the event will take place.

Fill in the date and time values in the table provided.

Add content details about the event  - if you want to copy and paste content from another document, Click on the "word" icon in the tool bar (top right) and paste content in the popup window. Press "insert" and your copy will be transfered to the post - this is important to ensure that formatting of  text is consistant.

Remember to publish your post by pressing save at the bottom of the page.

How do I insert a link to another site?

You can simply write the URL and it will automatically become a link or,

create the copy that you want to make a link.

Highlight this copy

Click on the "insert/edit link" icon in the toolbar.

Write or paste the URL into the window as prompted then click "insert".

How do I include an image in a post?

Click on the green "insert/edit image" icon in the toolbar.

If the image is from an online source, type or paste the image URL in the window as prompted.

To upload an image, click on the red "browse" icon at the end of the "image URL" row. This will open another window. Click on the "upload" tab (top left) and browse your computer for your image. You can select to resize the image as a thumbnail if you want. Double click on the file when it has uploaded and you will return to the image window.

Image size is important - recommended size is no bigger than 200X300 dpi. Resize your image before you upload or resize using the "dimensions" option in the insert image window.

Select image alignment - we recommend "left".

Click "insert".

How do I attach a file to a post?

Scroll down to the heading "File attachments" on the left hand side above the "save" tab.

Click on this and you will be prompted to browse your computer to attach new file.

Locate the file and click "attach"

Remember to save the post at the bottom left.
