SSE was established in Australia in 2009 and has had many Sydney Leadership alumni involved in its establishment, ongoing operations and governance. Last year I was commissioned to develop the SSE Australia action learning approach, and to develop a training program to support best practice facilitation.

Registrations are now open for the 2013 Action Learning Facilitator Training Program to be held in Sydney over 3 days. (August 19-20 and October 21).
The SSE Action Learning Facilitator Training Program will help participants:

  • Understand the principles and conventions of the action learning model
  • Understand and apply the action learning model, underpinning theories and be able to teach and apply these to an action learning set
  • Understand how to establish, run and close an action learning set
  • Understand the role and demonstrate the skills of an effective action learning facilitator
  • Apply the theory and skills of action learning to real action learning set

Participants who successfully complete the training program will be invited to be accredited by SSE at a later date to be announced. Further, it opens up an opportunity to work with the Australian School for Social Entrepreneurs through it’s social entrepreneur and mentoring programs.
